General Update news

I have been busy for a while now maintaining all the websites getting on with my university work, releasing my album with DiFFReQ Records and also producing and mixing new music, so I have not updated my blog for a couple of weeks now. Those of you following my main website have seen the updates and changes. The official minimalblogger website is http://minimalblogger.ucoz.net but with this one still being my blog site.

I have just uploaded the latest minimal session called 'Mind Games'. This is a smooth blend of minimal sounds plenty of 8 beat loops and nice ambient sounds. I have given more attention to the bass-lines in this set creating a continous raw bass flow. The session is more minimal than techno, but still has the tech groove in it. Is Minimal dead?

On the contrary, minimal techno is very alive, but this is the peak so we can all clearly see the death right before our eyes.. from here on after, its going to be something deeper, more organic with the right amount of repetition, break-downs and with some ambient background sounds... Its the new kind of techno, there is no borderline.

Techno is thefundamental sound and from there on, each generation decides to create new genres in order to be original. There can be house tracks that are minimalistic, there can be techno tracks that are minimalistic - it's still a techno track or a house track though. So it really doesn't have a name, u can call it what u want to call it because it is what it is...

Hands-on M-Audio Trigger Finger

I just received my new M-Audio Trigger Finger. Well definately until now, the juice is worth the squeeze. It has a profesional look and touch but also an amazing latency. I have managed to record a short video minimal mix which can be seen below in the videos section.

The streaming mix has been to: ''kemi - tapwater only''. I plan to cycle the mixes on a weekly basis.

More on the track I have been working on, it is almost done. It just needs a finishing touch. I will be releasing a comiplation of all my tracks early next year.
